Mother and Child Health Handbook

The city provides expectant mothers with a Mother and Child Health File containing a Mother and Child Health Handbook, prenatal health exam coupons, and other important information. Upon confirming their pregnancy at a medical facility, expectant mothers should visit one of the following:
(1) Health Section (Hoya Hoken Fukushi Sogo Center Bldg. 4F)
(2) Childrearing Support Section (Tanashi Bldg. 1F)
(3) Hibarigaoka Ekimae Branch
(4) Yanagibashi Branch
(5) Sumiyoshi Kaikan (Lupinus) Child and Family Support Center
You will be asked to fill out a pregnancy notification, so bring your seal if you have one. To purchase a foreign language Mother and Child Health Handbook, contact the office below.

Health Exams for Pregnant Women

The city issues 14 prenatal health exam coupons to expectant mothers. To undergo an exam, use the prenatal health exam coupons distributed with the Mother and Child Health Handbook and make an appointment for an exam at a medical facility in Nishitokyo. Exam fees are partially subsidized by the city.
