Childrearing/ Child and Family Support Center Nodoka
This center supports children and families with children by offering child and family consultations and operating such facilities as the Childrearing Hiroba.

Family Support Center
With the goal of supporting community childcare, this center provides fee-based babysitting coordination services, matching up people who have children that need to be watched (family members) with people who are available to watch children (support members). The center is managed by the Council of Social Welfare under an agreement with Nishitokyo City.
Fee: 800 yen to 1,000 yen (per hour)
Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Childrearing Support Short-Stay Service
When a pa r ent i s unavoidably and temporarily unable to care for their child due to a sudden illness, childbirth, or ceremonial functions, they can take advantage of the Childrearing Support Short-Stay Service and leave their child at a city-approved childcare
facility for a specified period of time.
Number of children that can be cared for: 2 children/ day
Period of use: Up to seven days for a single stay (can be extended to 14 days if absolutely
necessary)
Cost: Daytime care: 3,000yen, Overnight care: 6,000 yen (plus the cost of meals)

Children may not always be accepted for care, depending on their health status.
Post-Illness Childcare
This facility provides care for children who are recovering from an illness but cannot yet at tend nursery school or kindergarten, and whose parents cannot care for them during the day.
Eligibility: Children ages 6 months to 10 years (whose parents live or work in Nishitokyo)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Cost: Full day (more than 4 hours): 3,000 yen, Half day (up to 4 hours): 1,500 yen
