Types of Garbage
Garbage is divided into burnable and non-burnable garbage. Specific types of garbage are collected on different days in different areas. Garbage should be placed in designated collection areas at the site by 8:30 a.m. on the designated collection day.
* To dispose of garbage, sort items according to type, place them in the designated yellow burnable/non-burnable garbage collection bags and tie the bags shut before disposal.
* To dispose of fallen leaves, grass clippings, cut branches and disposable diapers, place items in transparent or semi-transparent bags before disposal.
Large-Sized Items
Electronic products that are more than about 30 cm on one side are collected as large-sized items. You must call in advance (042-421-5411) to request collection. A processing fee will be charged for large-sized items. Purchase the appropriate large-sized garbage stickers from a dealer in the city, and apply the designated stickers to your items. On the collection day, place the items in a visible location on your premises (1F).
* Even if you break apart or disassemble items, they will still be considered large-sized items.
* Air conditioners, refrigerators (freezers), washing machines and televisions (CRT) will not be collected for recycling. You can either ask the store where the item was purchased to pick it up from you or contact a representative commercial collection company.
